Internet Explorer was an integral part of Windows for almost 25 years. The end of Internet Explorer has actually been sealed since 2015. At that time, Microsoft announced that the unpopular and crisis-ridden browser would no longer be developed further. Now the software giant is missing another nail in the coffin of Internet Explorer: Various pages that are attempted to be called up with IE are opened in a new Edge window. As “ZDnet” reports, this affects around 1150 websites, including YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.
A window opened next to the page explains that it is no longer compatible with IE. According to the information, the change will be rolled out across the board next month with Edge version 87. You can find more information in this Microsoft blog post .
Due to Microsoft’s announcement, we will stop supporting Internet Explorer on March 15, 2021.
We recommend using Google Chrome.
